Are Pavements for Pedestrians or Cars ?

Footpaths and grass verges in and around Crawley are becoming more and more dangerous because of parked vehicles, and current highways regulations about parking in the vicinity of road junctions unenforced. This places many vulnerable adults and children at risk as they are forced to walk into the road. Drivers face similiar risks because of impaired visibility at junctions. Home delivery vans now regularily use public footpaths and verges during drop-offs, with disregard to those using them, and further damaging paths and kerbstones. The issue has been reported to local councillors of many wards for some time, but it seems our safety is no longer enforceable.
