Arts Centre

It was a huge disappointment to the people of King’s Lynn when the Arts Centre closed. A permanent and flexible arts/community space which can also be used by the excellent arts organisations in the town (like the King’s Lynn Festival) would be warmly welcomed. With the outbreak of the Corona Virus, the arts have, once again, demonstrated how they can counter-balance life’s stresses and enrich people’s lives even in dark times. A building with a local focus which encourages community projects and local artists and musicians would be highly valued and well-used.

  1. That building is already in King’s Lynn and is the King’s Lynn Arts Centre, or Shakespeare’s Guildhall. It needs to be revitalised and properly run, and Shakespeare’s Guildhall Trust has the enthusiasm, ideas and drive to do that. It’s time the National Trust, the Borough Council and SGT talked together to get the whole thing going again.
