Business work spaces with fibre to the premise roll out

Scarborough should focus its efforts on better spaces for digital nomads that no longer require to travel to york or Leeds for their work. Remote working could revamp parts of the town center instead of requiring brick and mortar retail outlets to ensure Scarborough town center stays relevant in the digital age.

We also need to reduce business rates that have far exceeded the rent and have ended up simply leaving the building vacant for years instead of trying to put those spaces to good use.

Places like http://www.c4di.co.uk in Hull are a great example of a project to help remote working flourish and reduce the strain we have on the northern rail system that we are currently experiencing from workers trying to make it york on a daily basis.

  1. Could such a centre also be used by youth groups for gaming, and other e-techy activities? ..like Krash Labs currently at the YMCA (I think they’re still there?)
