From what I can see from the new plan you are wanting to build more housing, more shops, more businesses but also cutting down on car parking spaces. Surely if businesses are to survive they need people to spend money in them. The bus services get fewer and fewer, making it necessary to get to the town by car. It says in the report they want more people to walk and cycle to the town centre… try being over 70 and living on Clay Lane where we have 3 buses per day ( not per hour) and having to shop in town and carry bags home for more than a mile. Moving the bus station won’t help the elderly who can get off a bus, shop at Iceland (2 minutes walk), get back on a bus and go home.
