Climate emergency

Telford has declared a climate emergency. So lets see action to follow that. Improving the bike path/lane infrastructure. Invest in jobs in green energy sector, in waste management, in flood prevention, in electric vehicle charging points. Encourage buses and public use vehicles to be electric.

  1. Agree, bike path and lane provision needs improvement.
    Bike and pedestrian route to base of The Wrekin
    Bike lanes along Holyhead rd and “old” A5 to Shrewsbury
    Bike lane on Haygate Rd
    Better bike routes into Wellington from Shawbirch, Admaston, Leegomery, Hadley, Apley. Wellington link from Silken Way to Wrockwardine Rd Wellington needs better drainage, widening, improved signage (its a hidden secret!)
    Bike rte on footpath from Wrockwardine Rd to Vineyard Rd to avoid cyclists having to negotiate Morrisons Roundabout. Better bike access to PRH.
    Ketley Brook round about needs to be more bike friendly
    M54 Jct 6 needs to be more bike friendly

  2. The Wrekin hill needs better access provision for cyclists and walkers from Wellington.
    The cluddeley road needs a footpath and bike lane provision.
    Wellington is the northern access to the Shropshire hills and should be promoted as such with facilities to match
