Coach park

Re-locate the coach park to north parade, this is an under-utilised area, dropping off visitors directly on the seafront would help the businesses at north parade and encourage visitors to explore the whole seafront.
Also re-develop the bus station and refurbish the tatty shelters At the front of the coach park near Lidl, it’s an eye-sore.
Public transport could be better organised, creating more of a transport hub and sense of arrival, when arriving by rail. The station is tired and looks uncared for, some of the old buildings could be used to create an information centre to promote attractions etc and a better facility for a cafe could be included.
On the concourse at the front it needs lighting and information boards, maybe even a Christmas tree and lights /illuminations for different seasons.
If the JCP is still going to be re-located that creates a greater opportunity to develop this area.

  1. I don’t want to be annoying, but before you build a new coach park, please can you check that the coach business hasn’t gone bust because of the coronavirus. Definitely use some money to update bus shelters & make the area more attractive. What about a tourist bus /coach service that visits all the local places. To develop a good idea, there is also Gibraltar Point, & Gunby Hall, & Chapel St Leonards. Some people like a beach holiday, & others like to see lots of things in the area. Some like to do both. The open top tourist bus in Lincoln is very popular.
