Community Centres

Improve all our existing Community Centres which are showing their age.
Lypard Grange & Warndon being the exception. Improve the signage so that they can be found. Also improve the advertising for what is on in Worcester. Add some links to their own Websites.

  1. I run St Johns Community Centre on a voluntary basis. i have to make it pay and if it loses money I fund it personally I have managed to make it nearly break even, although Covid 19 has put paid to that. I was promised new carpets, new eco lighting, a new CCTV system etc from the Place Partnership. None of this has materialised. It is looking tired. An update would be much appreciated.

  2. The South of Worcester is starved of Community Facilities, the only such facility, South of Midland Road, is the Village Hall in St Peter’s and this facility has a very limited lease. It is likely that the current lease, due to expire in under seven years, may not be renewed, leaving the greater community in South Worcester with no Community Facility at all. I would ask that consideration be given to including this as a project within the My Town plan.
