Communting corridor from Swadlincote

The existing Ivanhoe railway line is re-opened for passenger travel with a frequent rail or light rail service from re-opened stations and new stations along the line. These new railway stations will be park and ride with good cycle and walk networks into the surrounding area to encourage people to cycle and walk and take the train into town. Station road from Burton train station into town is traffic calmed and improvements for people to walk and cycle. A new fit for purpose all weather cycle lane is built along the A511 and A444 corridors to allow people to cycle and walk from the Newhall and Swadlincote areas into Burton town, with an increase in cycle parking and a re-development of the town centre to remove / reduce some of the car parking that blights the town centre which encouraging anti social behaviour and danger to people such as parking near the market place and college.
