The coast to the North and South of Mablethorpe are already very popular with tourists, but owners of camper vans are repelled by height restriction bars. The existing facilities at Mogg’s Eye, Huttoft Car Terrace, and Theddlethorpe could be revamped to create attractive, single night stop-overs similar to the French ‘Aires’, which work so well in France. With a sensiblel overnight charge for fresh water and toilet facilities, these sites could pay for their own maintainance and upkeep and would be a great attraction, bringing extra tourists to the East Coast. Surely a benefit to the local economy?
