I would like to suggest that the Quay in Truro is dredged to return to what it used to be like. I feel like towns such as Falmouth and St Ives are such a hit with tourists because you can sit by the water on the quay. There are many food/drink places surrounding the area (wetherspoons, panier market, the fish and chips) meaning a lot of people would sit outside by the water. I know the ground is used for stalls and ice rinks etc, but there is a perfectly useable space outside the Cathedral, which would also boost numbers to the Cathedral and shops in that area. The open water access may also encourage more people to use the ferry service to Falmouth and Trelissick etc. I understand it is a big project, but for the main city in Cornwall, Truro really needs a boost to encourage not just tourists, but more people in general.
