The Halifax Rd area from the Health Center to the end of Commercial has had three inappropriate developments because of problems with planning and flood risk assessments. The topography of the area has totally changed. Before sewerage enters the pits at Lidl it is in our homes. There is a solution to this situation which could be greatly improve the situation, with redevelopment of the waste land next Lidl into a play, sensory garden area which is dementia and disabled friendly. The area should be capable of being flooded in order to save our properties.
There are other the other two sites but relive the flood here fight the developments before it’s too late and the foundry might not explode.
Gravitas does beautiful landscaping that’s purposely built to flood and offer protection.
I also think the bandstand needs sorting there’s enough money.
We need more greenery turn brown fields into green SUDs and that’s including Rose St. More water stored in Tod better for the valley
