Further education (college & university) is accessed by daily long-distance bus or car journeys. This adds additional pressure, expense, distraction & detachment from the town in which the young people live. This disruption increases the likelihood of those young people then leaving the area with those skills to the detriment of the area. Reuse the Tennyson School site to create a centre of excellence for trade-based & university courses, run in partnership with Boston, Grimsby & Lincoln. There is a distinct lack of Catering, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Process Systems & Control, Computer Science & languages, Business & Event Management education opportunities for people to gain these skills and for businesses to draw upon. Use the school playing fields to create a live in campus, which would bring in additional revenue & increased social interaction in the town.
