Many houses have inadequate roofing and guttering, this leads to a poor experience for people living in these properties, experiencing dams and having higher heating bills. I propose the money is delivered in grants to landlords where the landlords/ businesses also have to contribute to the costs, to have appropriate insulation provided below the roof and repairs to the roofs and guttering as needed to allow for good living conditions for all and to have a positive external aesthetic for passers by. At the same time where possible solar panels can be installed and even green roofs where plants are added to roofs that can sustain the weight. Roof gardens can help to absorb rainwater and remove the stress on drainage, they can act as carbon sinks and can provide local food.
