Reed in Partnership, part of the recruitment firm Reed, have helped many other areas, including Hereford reduce unemployment by helping people get into work. They offer a complete scheme, with training courses, direct links with many employers and more. One great part of their work is that they often use contracts that don’t see them get paid until the employee has been in the job for 3+ months. That means they are invested in making sure that the job and the employee are a real match, not just getting them into work if it doesn’t suit.
They have a wide skill set but specialise in the long term unemployed and those with disabilities, or other barriers to work.
I think working with an external group like this could be hugely beneficial and help the locals hit the ground running, as well as supporting the local government and DWP not become over worked and therefore struggle to help those in need.
I am not part of Reed in Partnership, just a supporter of the work they do.
