I’d like the council to act responsibly towards the Homeless situation here in Blackpool by modelling Newport’s idea of converting old buses into beds to stay warm and dry. Many come to Blackpool for a better life and often end up homeless, limiting help to genuine Blackpool people who have fallen on hard times. The council should engage with homeless in Blackpool and where possible assist individuals back to their own towns where theres family, friends + support networks to help them back on their feet. BC should roll out a compulsory programme of smartening up business and hotels along the promenade where in places its a complete eye sore. I’d like to see more investment for the local young people rather than just entertaining the tourists,eg a skate board park on the waste ground at Squires gate or a BMX track now Stanley Park’s is private. Finally being responsible in saving natural habitats and wildlife’s homes and movement when giving planning consent to build on green belt land.
