It is no surprise that Wolverhampton (like many other town and cities) has an increasing population of rough sleepers. In fact, over the years I have noticed the same rough sleepers still remain and look for shorter from the bitter cold in the same spots on a regular basis.
We also know that wolverhampton need cleaning up so why not provide homeless people with opportunities to do this? I am aware that it is hard to provide them with jobs without them having permanent residence but surely as a council/government there is something that can be done.
Another solution to this is opening closed, unoccupied shops up to at night to be used by homeless to stop them sleeping out on the streets during cold nights. Their lives are already extremely difficult, it’s out duty to make them easier.
