Hospital and shops

An additional hospital to serve North Lincs and reduce demand on SGH. This is essential to support the Lincolnshire Lakes development.
Retail space on the high street should be reduced as there are more units than retailers. By condensing the amount of retail units the high street it will become more densely populated with shops and provide a better experience and environment rather than a walking past closed shutters.
There should also be an incentive for small local business to operate from high street units. The premium rates for high street should be reduced to encourage people to relocate from out of town.

  1. Why are we really having the Lincolnshire lakes project? It’s not Scunthorpe or its residents that it’s helping. Knowing the council they’ll also forget the ‘lakes’ part when it’s finally built.
