This does not affect me as I have a Disabled Persons pass, but many people are fed up with prices continually increasing on Public Transport and getting nothing for it (especially the Railways).
In the evenings, some areas of Doncaster only see 1 bus an hour (if it breaks down, it isn’t replaced either). In 2020, this is a disgrace and is not acceptable.
The cost of Public Transport means fewer people are using it, hence the reduced service. This goes against the green targets that the Government keep trying to reach; the idea is to encourage people to, not discourage from, using Public services. I don’t see how making it cheaper to drive or get a taxi is helping the agenda.
I propose that a review of services is made and, aside from operating costs, companies should be discouraged from making profits from public services.
