Stevenage has loads of woodlands that if managed better could provide great habitat for wildlife and carbon capture to mitigate climate change. There are lots of open spaces and verges that could be managed as wildflower meadows – this would help the town look more attractive (they do it in some places in the town), help wildlife and improve carbon capture. If residents (of all ages) could be trained to help undertake some of the works it will also improve physical and mental wellbeing and life / career opportunities for local people.
