Nuneaton has undergone a large growth in population during the last 10 years. As it is on the commuter belt to London and Birmingham, money should be spent on two things.
1. Improving the services available to the relevant catchment area eg. doctors, schools etc. This should be government led investment.
2. The town centre is largely vacant units. Properties should be redeveloped into single person accommodation and others into more F&B and leisure destinations. The money could be used as grants to local entrepreneurs and landlords to stimulate this. Living in Nuneaton town centre is a viable option for young professionals who work in Birmingham, London, Leicester etc.
