Injection of youth

There needs to be a university base in Truro to inject the section of society who support social businesses. Every time a new bar opens, it closes within months. A university would result in business offshoots and enable existing local businesses to find talented people who want to live here. Transport connections are also dire with minimal locations linked by train. There should be public transport linking Newquay airport (Bristol flyer style) with Truro, Camborne, Redruth and Falmouth at the very least. There must be a government initiative to finally replace the lost mining industry which has caused huge poverty in internal Cornwall. Regeneration projects backed by appropriate skill level job creation to give hope to local people is essential. The wealth gap continues to widen between coastal towns and the interior and must be addressed. Cheaper train travel would better link Cornwall businesses to wealthier towns. Accountability for grant funding is severely lacking sustainability.
