Invest into the redevelopment of the city centre, perhaps expanding on the ‘English riviera/ Agatha Christie’ perception of the town. Torquay’s original tourism is for a seaside resort however the beaches have been put into decline without improvement from the council. Example: Meadfoot’s slipway has been left to crumble.
Money could be invested into the evident problems of homelessness and substance abuse in the bay, and perhaps instead of popping up new builds in the surrounding areas, regenerate the abandoned buildings throughout of Torbay to aid environmentally. Rejuvenation of the pavilions and old way mansion.
