I believe Lemon Quay, in the centre of Truro should be the centre piece of Cornwall’s capital City. Unfortunately at the moment this area down to the river is dated, mostly empty and unattractive. It is a tricky area to redevelop, however possibilities such as; tree planting, water features, open performance areas, playground equipment and open access to the river could all potentially make this space more inviting for visitors, shoppers and commuters. Whilst also creating a community centre for locals.
To make room for this the market could be placed on Boscawen street which could be pedestrianised on Saturday, this may also improve the city centre experience and increase city centre footfall
