I think you could use the old co op building or any other not used large space to create markets.
Every weekend Friday, Saturday and sunday or just Saturday and sunday local or small businesses can set up and sell their products. During the week when the buliding is not used they should hire volunteers or ex business professionals to help young people or any age to help start, set up and give advice about how to run a business. Then on the weekend they can use their time to speak to other members who are selling their products.
Plus you could get the local schools involved for the teens who want to start their business! Plus in the week you could hold meetings to teach young people how live independently and teach about tax, car insurance, Bill’s and other life skills which they dont really teach in schools.
