More cycle paths to reduce carbon footprint

More cycle paths would give people the opportunity to commute to work safely, meaning they would be less likely to use a car which would be both better for the planet and for themselves, in terms of health and keeping active.
The main A630 is a particularly busy road and has a cycle/bus lane for only a small portion through Balby, I think this road would really benefit, perhaps starting from Conisbrough all the way to the town centre. As well as other main roads connecting the town centre to nearby villages and the hospital to the town centre. Other countries in Europe have more cycle paths and it is reflected in bicycle usage.
