Firstly I’d like to suggest the train station be reborn as an essential step, providing easier links to the centre of chesterfield and further afield. Also remove a few betting/charity/fast food outlets to give the town a better vibe, than the run down slum it appears to have and replace with specialised boutiques to make it more appealing for new business owners of boutique shops, ie, shoe shop, haberdashery, craft stores, quirky gift store, something that the big stores cant compete against. A better education building for the unemployed to get them on the right track might also be beneficial. (Karen Stone, life long resident of Clay Cross for nearly 50 years.)
