There is a distinct lack of trees and flowers especially around the town centre which completely puts people off going there, it’s so grey and dismal. The town centre and streets with wide enough footpaths should definitely be lined with trees, not only for visual improvement, but also to help remove co2 from the air. Perhaps a boulevard-style row of (some sort of hardy) palm trees down the central reservation of Foreshore Road would give the town an edge that others don’t have. Also more regular litter picking throughout the borough would not go amiss, especially on roadsides both urban and rural.
