At present the performing arts produce about 4-5% of GDP. There are many jobs available especially in the technical areas of performance and events and it likely that there will be a skill supply shortage as a result of reduced opportunities for arts education
We are a locally based not for profit performing arts organisation with experience of producing and directing large events and productions in the Crucible Main House and other locations. We are also heavily involved with teaching, promoting concerts and supporting musicians. Our ethos is inclusion, accessibility and affordability and giving people a chance to achieve excellence.
Our area currently lacks an affordable and versatile performing arts HUB. It is important that there should be affordable rehearsal space for aspiring young bands, dancers and actors and studio rooms for the many local instrumental and singing teachers who support and coach young people.
