Several housing estates are popping up, alongside the A47 dual carriageway (I live on one). The developers promised to build “a bind”, a mount of earth to deflect the traffic noise. It’s completely ineffective.
How about we use some of this government money to plant some evergreens (trees), along the dual carriage way border. This should not only help with traffic noise, but also help with the city’s target for carbon reduction (offsetting) too!
