  1. Lowestoft town centre ,North Quay Retail Park and the new Gateway Retail Park all lack trees. The town centre in particular is not an attractive area at all .
One of the big differences between it and other Suffolk towns is that it is mostly Victorian with some 60s buildings whereas the other towns are Georgian .There are problems with having trees, leaf fall blocking drains , ongoing maintenance etc . but Lowestoft needs to look more classy . Conifers would probably work well as they would be green all year and take some of the bleakness away especially during the winter. It was a big mistake too removing the flower beds from the main street !
Lowestoft is let down by having an extremely poor centre . Some big changes are required !

  2. I would definitely agree with this sentiment, Lowestoft lacks greenery, walking down the high street it is a concrete jungle and desperately needs life injected to it.
