Rainworth is treated like a second-class citizen despite being right next to Mansfield. We have no buses into Rainworth after 7:05pm and have to pay extra for a pass that covers this area. The council-managed hedges that constantly cover large sections of the pavements are rarely cut back. It seems like nothing is done to deal with the anti-social behaviour of the youths. Also we need better parking regulations as people are constantly parking on pavements in anti-social ways, making it impossible for wheelchairs to get past without going on the road! The area covered by Newark and Sherwood council is noticeably nicer. It would be nice if Mansfield council actually showed a willingness to invest in this massively neglected part of Mansfield’s back yard.
