It is the most dismal, dreary place! It gets next to no sunshine but it could become a busy gathering place if it had a large airy roof – [mini version of Trinity in Leeds??] and we could have all sorts of events under it, including a nicer market. Reduce the number of ugly fixed stalls, open it up to schools/community groups for entertainment/ fundraisers/displays… We could have little Christmas markets, spring plant stalls, as well as regular market traders. I could go on, but other people will also have good ideas I’m sure.
