My husband and I moved to Lowestoft in 2016, having spent large periods of time living and working in major cities, enjoying all the amenities and attractions that go along with those types of places.
In response to the possibility of Lowestoft negotiating a “Towns Deal” for regeneration, we think that the future of the town could include the following (in no particular order):
– More affordable homes, along the riverside if viable. If it’s not viable to build homes along the riverside, leisure and entertainment facilities could be located there.
– Tram service from Station Square right up to Bellvue Park, and back, along London Road North and the historic High Street. This route is already pedestrianised, and even if the old High Street is narrow, there is certainly scope for a short tram route from Station Square along London Road North up to the junction with Artillery Way and back.
