Norwich needs municipal public transportation- reliable on timetable with good network and affordable for all. Having ONLY private bus companies servicing the city isn’t right neither acceptable, nor affordable for the users (except elderly of course who are travelling for free). If bus companies were actually there to transport people and not make money out of people, the city wouldn’t struggle with a lack of parking spaces, road accidents and pollution. The city is congested enough with traffic, so why local authorities wouldn’t invest into a Strong municipal public bus network to free the city and make the users willing to use it for their every day’s commuting.
Having two universities in the city with thousands of students in need of transportation local authorities still allow private companies to grow richer with every year. More over the services that current private bus companies provide is a disgrace!
