Due to our fantastic location investment in this area would give a
Boost to the area. Previously regeneration in this area has just been about housing. A couple of restaurants would bring in people and income. Its a tough call but the area by the yacht club and the wharf is a suggestion. A look at other areas would be good. Especially as plans for a new underpass to bring north and south Grays together. Burnham on Crouch hasnt got heaps but enough and it works. Gravesend has a Riverside restaurant too. With the financial problems with Intu and Lakeside we need this to be a thriving town again. It was ruined in the 70s dont make the same mistake again. Keep our remaining old buildings and make them an asset and learn from past mistakes. Fight to get some decent stores like M & S to come back. Even if its just a food court. And when new job opportunities arrive such as amazon they should be for local people first. Not advertised as bringing jobs into area but given to others
