Rather than close it and build a new one consideration should be made about renovating it. The building I believe is structurally sound and it only needs cosmetic work doing. We hear about it not being “fit for purpose”, without any explanation of what that means. It is a tank with water in, it is clean and it is (usually) at a decent temperature. What more does a swimming pool need? It would certainly cost less to renovate than build a new one.
