Children are regularly visiting the museum in town from schools along Liverpool road and Old Liverpool road. The distance is usually walked by them and takes half an hour in each direction.
It would be a good idea to place more safety barriers along those roads to protect against passing cars. I have seen children run along the paths and step onto the road. Barriers would prevent this more.
The area crossing the rail lines on Liverpool road is protected with barriers but we need more all the way along that road as many heavy trucks and buses head down those roads, and they do so at speeds of 40mph despite the speed limit being much lower.
