Large investments need to be made in the small businesses of Hartlepool. Currently looking at our high streets we can see that the only things that seem to survive are convenience stores and pizza shops.
We need to prop up smaller businesses so that they can compete with the larger stores within our town centre and give capital to locals rather than simply giving it to a big business. This would have an incredible impact in helping to generate new jobs, but also possibly decrease crime and drug-use within the area.
