South parade is one of the most neglected areas in the town, the former kiddies corner site and former bowling greens are in dire need of regeneration. This area is opposite guest houses and is a sad site to see. In the foreshore plan it was suggested this area becomes more of an entertainment/event space, this would be perfect. Or the kiddies corner/crazy golf site could become an outdoor gym area, picnic area with play equipment, this would be a relatively low cost project but the impact would be considerable.
Adding improved lighting to complement the new tower Esplanade scheme would add further interest and make the area more attractive.
Skegness has a multitude of food outlets etc it would be good to see something to promote the outdoors and physical activity, especially as we are low income area, with many families living in poor accommodation with no garden. We also have very high obesity levels. Creating an attractive outdoor area would make good use of the area.
