I believe that with the town centre of Torquay emptying out slowly there are many commercial properties available but unused.
I would propose that Torbay council support small local businesses by making it affordable to rent the spaces available, regenerating the town centre area.
In addition to this further protection of green spaces within Torbay and regeneration of the pavilion to allow space for small businesses, perhaps entertainment such as an indoor icerink and cafe space. Enable it to thrive and be rented out for functions again.
Furthermore I suggest a cut in car parking charges making it more affordable for out of town visitors to drive and use/enjoy what Torbay has to offer.
