To Project images onto the castle wall and Keep.
Projection Mapping is a technique where moving images can be projected onto buildings.
The Castle wall (especially the section below the observation platform) and Keep can be seen from all over Scarborough. I propose that images of Scarborough’s history be projected onto the castle wall.
For example moving images of Vikings and Roman soldiers marching on the wall, the Normans, WW1 Bombardment, also Images of our Maritime heritage and much more.
Images on the Castle Keep could show what it would have looked like in its hay day.
It could also project images on remembrance Sunday, Armed Forces Day, Seafest, Tour De Yorkshire, Christmas and many more. The only limit would be our imagination.
The Projection could start at dark for a fixed time either on weekend nights, seasonally, or even nightly.
An App with information and narration linked to the images would be informative entertaining and educational.
But it needs doing properly.
