Town centre

The now closed Beales, two floor department stores, reopens for local crafts, arts with workshops, with a small mininal fee, but short term to keep the interest flowing, not the same old.
The top floor for students/ local/ artist to show and sell their goods/ pictures etc a non profit cafe run by work experience/ college students.
The Green, a play area for small children with fenced area to keep dogs out.Although I am a dog owner.
The final completion on our most easterly point, a million pounds was already given for these project, it could be a huge tourist attraction, access from Links Road car park.
Finally, I wrote to Suffolk Highways and East Coast Council and others, the traffic must flow.No right turn from London Road South, removing traffic lights at that junction, give way,to the left only, filtering that traffic up to Asda roundabout.
Lowestof’s best asset is the beach, but traffic MUST flow to achieve a brighter town for us all.

  1. We need shops in the town centre. Make Lowestoft Vision (BID) accountable by publishing minutes and holding public meetings. Reduce rents and business rates in the town centre -try to attract proper shops like butchers, deli’s, clothes shops-ther are only so many crafty bits and bobs people can buy.
