The town centre is in dire need of investment. It has space, footfall and huge potential with a large population (the largest of any town in warks). Yet shops are closing at a rate never seen before with out of town shopping in nearby coventry and leicester benefiting. With a great market and well look after buildings, a better planned town could become a wonderful place. Nhneaton is prime commuter belt to london and Birmingham, I myself work in London, let’s provide some sort of reason to be proud of the town itself and stop it becoming just one big housing estate. – whilst I like the building and housing expansion done to date. The crescent at nearby Hinkley is a great model that has driven footfall up. In town entertainment and large chain eateries and stores need to also be encouraged to return.
