With the increase in empty units and serious decline in the quality/variety of shops available in the town, there is not much to draw people to visit Nuneaton. Provide some incentives for businesses to come back into the town – and preferably not just pound shops or charity shops. There could be some multi function spaces – with varied dining and entertainment options – such as escape rooms, a retro arcade or small bowling alley, along with nicer venues for evenings out. I think attracting smaller businesses into the town to provide some variety and interest to the town would be beneficial. Improvements to parking would also help – Atherstone town (whilst being considerably smaller) is always busy & free parking is available. When people can go to fairly local out of town centres like Fosse park, Ventura or Central six for shopping, Nuneaton needs to be able to offer something different to remain competitive and attract more people to use the town centre.
