Safe overnight stops for Motorhomes

We travel all over this country watching and writing about pantomimes usually over Christmas. It is a real challenge to park and find places to stay overnight, I contact councils in the towns or cities we are visiting and they have been most helpful. We have now joined CAMpRA (Campaign for Real Aires UK) Please […]

Town centre

This isn’t a suggestion but an observation. . The regeneration of grays has been spoken about for over a decade with countless public consultations some of which I got involved with and many out suggestions forward which are still valid now as they were 10 years ago . NOW is the time to get on […]

Beach regeneration

I’d like to see the same set up as Moldon promenade Skateboard ramps, crabbing lake, tennis courts, basketball courts, toilets that’s are manned and A place for drive in movies, or a roller skate ring. But most importantly car parking that’s manned so we can all enjoy the space and not worry the cars gong to […]

Riverside Facilities

Due to our fantastic location investment in this area would give a Boost to the area. Previously regeneration in this area has just been about housing. A couple of restaurants would bring in people and income. Its a tough call but the area by the yacht club and the wharf is a suggestion. A look […]

Roads

To finally repair/lay new tarmac on our roads in Stifford Clays. The roads are terrible and have been over looked for many years.

More

More lights at night, more police, more schools, new hospital! Get rid of the drug dealers, crack down on knives and gangs. Can’t say I’m proud I live in grays!

Improve Traffic Flow

Make significant improvements to the traffic flow around Lakeside shopping centre. It’s always getting clogged up, the traffic flow is awful even when there’s no roadworks. The queuing traffic just sits there pumping out fumes, causing air pollution issues which is known to cause a wide variety of health and environmental effects. The number of […]

Madness

Stop building houses it brings more people in this area and more traffic. Create more access in and out of Lakeside the traffic is horrendous.

Rebuild the high street

We avoid the high street at all costs due to the anti social behaviour we’ve witnessed there both at night and during the day. The shopping centre is outdated and doesn’t have any attraction value so I can’t see our kids ever being encouraged to visit the high street. Crammavill street parking would be an […]

NHS appointments

As we getting more people moving to Grays, NHS must cope up with the requests from local people like us. Calling early morning at 8 shouldn’t be the only option to see/meet doctors. One should be able to see the doctor when it’s needed. Otherwise people don’t have time to be honest just to waster […]

We need to keep Orsett hospital

The hub idea is ridiculous. Just modernise Orsett. It keeps so much traffic out of Basildon that can be dealt with there. Pot holes? There’s no roads left is all pot hole. This needs addressing. The town centre is now terrifying. Full of drunks and druggies hanging around in large groups. This needs addressing urgently. […]

Invest In Community Centres

Personally, as a young person in Grays, I can get rather annoyed by the lack of investment in keeping spaces for young people open for us to spend a few hours in. Funding youth groups, community projects, leisure activities and libraries could drastically improve the experiences the community have in the area!

Lighting/CCTV

A town with no safety; is a town that won’t prosper.. Grays is arguably one of the most feared places in Essex when the sun goes down due to an apparent gang/drug problem. One simple, but extremely effective, solution to this problem is to heavily invest in bright lighting and CCTV/facial recognition. Walking through Grays […]

Vegan shop

I think with veganism becoming a high demand and being a vegan myself it would be nice to have a vegan shop to provide all day to day shopping items as it can be hard to find what I/we want in a regular shop Thank you

Local cultural centre development

I believe investing in a more exciting local cultural offer (gallery and/or theatre) could help bring people into the town centre and drive local growth. Whilst London is easily accessible by train, I don’t feel the current local provision is adequate. It could help build a sense of local cohesive community, which I feel is […]

West Thurrock

1. Please put some lights alongside the alleys and trees on the West Thurrock Memorial Ground 2. There are 10 streets around London Rd, where people are living in the past when talking about broadband, with speeds around 1.5Mbps – please do something this year, as we are already in 2020 but it still feels […]

The town

Help local shop to sustain and get more patrol police please. The town centre looks abandoned and always dirty. There are few good shops: English, polish and European with some Really good stuff. But there are too many shops abandoned. The central mall it is KT cleans and its even scary to go in. Roads […]

Roads

Pot holes are real issue in and around Grays, the attempts made to some holes has already worsened the original. With the influence of more vehicles over the coming years with the A13 windening and another Thames crossing alot more needs to be done.

More for kids to do

Lakeside now has kids play areas like flip out or bowling. The have golf and wall climbing. If there was something in grays we could do we would probably visit more often. We are always looking for places and things to do with the kids
