A stopover for visiting motorhomes

Motorhomers visit many places in the UK and abroad and as they are touring they do not necessarily want to stay all day on a camping field. The number of owners is increasing significantly and they spend money in local businesses. A stopover for 2 nights or so would attract much needed income throughout the […]

Bring together town centre

Move all businesses from Freeman Street into and around Freshney Place with no detriment to business owners. Instead of 2 struggling business areas, we can increase footfall for all businesses by bringing them together and creating a busier town centre. This will mean less empty units in the main town centre as well as bringing […]

Musical Improvements

The town has had plenty of great musical talent through the years. And that needs to be nurtured and preserved. As a musician I find very minimal opportunities for young musicians in this town, which is why so many leave the town, there is barely any support at all. Very limited amount of venues to […]

A University of Grimsby

Expand Grimsby Institute into a ‘University of Grimsby’ to include physics, mathematics, chemistry and biology courses – also integrate these academic courses with businesses along the Humber Bank (and if the regeneration goes well, businesses on the Kasbah too). This would provide a range of new job opportunities to the area, not only academic posts […]

COVID-19 NHS SUPPORT

Grimsby is one of the poorest towns in our country, the NHS staff in our hospital DO NOT have the correct personal protective equipment to help them face this virus. Or to help them when they are going to be put at a huge strain in general.

Children

I have become aware that we are that money normally spent on children’s services, and children’s centres will be used for the new recycle bins for the area. I think this is utterly ridiculous. Improved town centre

Regenerate the town centre, with restaurants (such as Nando’s) and an improved shopping centre (like st Stephens in hull/ westfields in Bradford) to attract people to Visit the town centre. Humber Cycle Superhighway

Creation of a cycle superhighway linking Cleethorpes Promenade with Grimsby, Pyewipe Industrial Estate, Stallingborough, Immingham, Killingholme through to Barton-upon-Humber. Cleaner streets
