Safe overnight stops for Motorhomes

We travel all over this country watching and writing about pantomimes usually over Christmas. It is a real challenge to park and find places to stay overnight, I contact councils in the towns or cities we are visiting and they have been most helpful. We have now joined CAMpRA (Campaign for Real Aires UK) Please […]

Our town for everyone

Please reduce the cost of the local authority part funded leisure zone which is to expensive for many to use. Provide facilities for those homless people currently in Harlow. Stop landlords converting office blocks to cheap accommodation that is then let to other local authorities moving issues from their areas. Ensure there is adequate policing […]

Link Roads & Infrastructure

With the prospect of so many new houses near Gilston and the M11 corridor scheduled, NHS England being based here, there has to be plans to not rely just on the A414. It’s gridlock at many times now, so how will it cope? Links to the A10 from the other side of town that was […]

Heritage

An investment in the museum and displays outside of the museum (in and around the town) to inform and share with people the heritage of the town, they need a reason to be proud of the town before they will be willing to look after it!

Roads and places to go

Harlow has 2 huge issues, roads in and out are always clogged up and the fact the youth have no where to go all social activity centres are gone. Also if we could get oyster access or a tube to london that would be grand

Harlow 25million investment

I am a nurse. I would like to see more facilities for education and promoting good quality of life for our town. Engaging the communities in activities every week. Play shems for harlow. We were rated 20th worst place to live in the community which is due to lack of opportunities. Therefore this investment is […]

Bus routes and children!

I have recently entry moved into a new development but there are limited bus routes from them (Gilden Park, new hall) to get into town centre. This isn’t safe or easy for youngsters. Putting money into local park e.g children’s gym, cafes, youth centres so youngsters have things to do. There is not much in […]

Youth concern

As the town is being so majorly developed there must be more put in place for youth to do that is affordable and easy to get to. For example the “good gym” scheme so that the young may feel they are a necessary part of the community. Community centres run by experienced and well paid […]

Faster internet.

We only have access to ADSL broadband in our area (18mb/sec). Openreach is currently upgrading copper high speed internet to fibre but my area is not in the scope of works. We should be pulled inline with current speeds rather than moving the goalpost further away. I have contacted Openreach, Superfast Essex initiative and the […]

Youth

There should be a place for people who suffer mental disorders. Somewhere we’re they can meet others like them and be able to be open. Where they go plan different activities and events knowing that everyone else will feel the same way. A place where they a free to be themselves without being judged or […]

Rubbish clearance

General purpose rubbish skips in areas of known dumping (e.g. Cooks Spinney Wood). More clearance of hedges, many are full of drink cans, and more vandalproof rubbish bins. Youth clubs to help keep the hoodies off the street by giving them something better to do. Reopen public toilets in the small shopping areas, such as […]

Parking emergency

Create safe parking, instead of just blocking parking. Cars are not going to go away, so do something now. Stop vans and lorry’s parking in housing areas. Build some multi storey parking areas, do away with council charges for people willing to pay for their own drives, create parking on the small grassed areas we […]

Realistic education for school kids

I would like to suggest that there are classes held outside of school hours for senior school kids (as it will never be in the schools curriculum). These classes should involve subjects which will help to benefit them in making decisions in real life, such as; tax, what National insurance contributions pay towards, being paye […]

Better facilities for children

Better parks for children. Especially an improvement to the swallows Park in Old Harlow. More facilities for youngsters like youth centres. Better nightlife and a place local bands can play since closure of the square. A speed camera on Cambridge Road after the beefeater before it becomes a dual carriageway.

We live at Old Harlow, Gilden Park in the new builds. We all have the same issue, which is the transport is awful and no shops around to buy stuff. Closest store is 45 mins walk.

Potholes need to be sorted everywhere, traffic in all areas, more lighting in and around Harlow town/Harvey centre at night to make public feel safer. Increase CCTV to reduce/deter crime and criminals.

Town centre update

The Harvey centre upstairs is full of empty shops which doesn’t entice shoppers to go up there. Also free parking would encourage visitors to the town. It’s almost 3 different zones, the water gardens, Harvey centre & original parade with what used to be the market. It would be amazing to somehow merge these all […]
