Day and night motorhome parking

Please will you consider allowing parking, in particular, overnight parking for motorhomes/ campervans. These vehicles are completely self contained. If we could stay close to town, we would have access to your restaurants/bars/ shops/entertainment. We will spend in your town. The motorhoming fraternity are not looking to “camp” nor stay days on end. Neither are […]

Overnight Motorhome parking/sleeping

Hartlepool could really benefit from provision of an area for overnight motorhome parking/sleeping. We have such a lot to offer, but it is not easy for motorhome tourists to visit. What about using some of the land where the retail outlet used to be for this? It would be perfect. There are over 250,000 motorhomes […]

Motorhome Park

If you are looking to increase footfall and spending in the town, why not allow overnight parking for motorhome tourists on your out of town car parks? If you implement reasonable charges, you can employ measures to increase security so that only paying tourists would use them. This would bring income to the area in […]

More entertainment

I think the town should have more things to do, we have some lovely parks but there nothing to do when the weather isn’t good more indoor facilities for all the family.

Works Experience for Young Adults

A warehouse size building sectioned off into many differing career rooms, so one section would be like being in a hospital, then next would be full of computers like admin, IT and reception work, one might be about armed forces, etc etc, then people come and try out each workplace, getting coached by trained employment […]

Council tax

Why on earth do we pay more council tax than anywhere else in the uk? More than Chelsea in London! Your 25m should reduce the towns rates for residents, not wasting it on parks that just get vandalised and more buildings for pound shops and greggs. We have a town full of empty buses driving […]

Better broadband infrastructure

Provide better network cabling for the town. It’s no secret now that Virgin, Sky and BT have far better competitors out there, namely Hyperoptic, however, these larger and cheaper alternatives will not come to this town because of how much it would cost them to lay new cables to deal with their gigabit broadband.

More youth clubs

More youth clubs to stop teens smashing up people’s cars/wing mirrors for fun. A lot of antisocial behaviour in Hartlepool. Kids need something to do instead of roaming the streets damaging property.

Mental health care

Our town needs improved mental health facilities, desperately. First of all, mental health facilities need to be more accessible, waiting queues are becoming excessive, which could be related to lack of jobs, and general lack of education on mental health. From my own experience, and many others’ a lot of the services are unsatisfactory. I […]

Hart Lane

Parking permits for Hart Lane. I do care in the community and often have to park streets away after s long shift! When the school opens and shuts parents park Infront of my house! This is SO UNFAIR! I pay full council tax. I’m in receipt of NO BENEFITS. I want parking permits issued for […]

Small Business

Large investments need to be made in the small businesses of Hartlepool. Currently looking at our high streets we can see that the only things that seem to survive are convenience stores and pizza shops. We need to prop up smaller businesses so that they can compete with the larger stores within our town centre […]

Support for the Vulnerable

We need to support the vulnerable people with issues of mental health, drug and alcohol abuse, domestic abuse and child abuse. We need more facilities and centres with human resources, rather than just the help lines, where people can drop in during their time of need. We lose lives without proper intervention and these people […]

A significant increase of police officers and a full re-opening of the closed hospital.

Creative outputs for young people.

The level of creative subjects studied at GCSE level in Hartlepool is one of the lowest in the country. Young people have no creative outputs, no youth centres and there is an increase in antisocial behaviour and drugs – although this is likely to be a common problem in the UK, we’re not supporting our […]

Marina Car Park

Buy the marina car park because charging so much for parking tickets when it should be free is ridiculous as my boss owns a bar on the marina and has had to pay 3 parking tickets in the past week it’s killing businesses

Hartlepool town centre

Maybe more environmental events for everyone to join in. Such as litter picking, farmers stalls, encouraging growing own veg or plants , awareness for animals etc. More art shops near the centre of Hartlepool and better public transport to the parks and coast. I feel like we need better broadband as well for working. More […]

Jobs!

This town needs employment opportunities. Very little work available. You have to travel out of town to get a decent job.

Better transport links

Hartlepool needs a better rail service connecting to Durham, Darlington and beyond! Trains should be running every 15- 20 mins minimum to neighbouring towns and cities! Its shocking how difficult it is to get to neighbouring areas if you don’t drive, it would open up so many more job opportunities for people in the town […]

Make Mill house better!

Mill house needs updating!! The changing rooms are small and smell, the slide isn’t clean and doesn’t push you down you have to push yourself down!. Not just the swimming but the gym facilities could also be improved. Maybe add in a cafe/diner in the reception. But it deffiently does need a change !

Social improvement

Something in place to tackle the huge drug in Hartlepool the town centre regularly has groups staggering about clearly under the influence of drugs in the middle of the day whilst children are about. It seems to be accepted to just be literally off your face sat outside the shopping centre more a more proactive […]

Authentic producers Market

They need to create a place where produce, dairy, homemade items and such are sold in market stalls outside. Not tat or boot sale items.A place where quality produce and other other agricultural and handicrafts, homemade goods are sold. This would bring footfall and be quaint for visitors. It could maybe be combined with some sort of […]

More Police patrols

More police patrols of troubled hotspots. All Hartlepool residents can name the “bad” areas of the town, yet there’s little to no police presence in these places. There’s so few officers in a town with a population of Hartlepool that they have to concentrate on the town centre. Everywhere else seems abandoned.

Transport and businesses

Hartlepool needs to sort the 1 train every hour! Those that use public transport are forced onto a two carriage train for over an hour to their end destination like sardines in a can. It is completely unsafe. There is nothing to do in Hartlepool, getting my children on a train that is rammed with […]

Tech hub

Regenerate Church street in a similar, but smaller scale, way to Grey Street Newcastle and locate a north east tech hub in buildings and offices above a hotel and retail parade. An increase in the frequency of trains from Newcastle, Durham & Darlington would be required. This would not only revive an area of Hartlepool, […]
