Whilst the train service is not controlled by the council they should be liaising with the relevant companies regarding the appaling service offered. Worcester is a lovely place to live and should be prime commuter area for those working in Birmingham like myself. However after moving here it is becoming harder and harder to maintain my job (regardless of current Covid19 restrictions) because the train service is so limited with dangerously few carriages used on rush hour trains and completely unreliable. Improvement in the line will also result in more people coming into Worcester for the day – the cancelling of weekend trains to and from Birmingham on a weekend at the end of last year was appaling and must have had an impact on the local economy.
