Retain the architecture, parks walks and gardens so that Scarborough remains an attractive place for visitors: it has some of the features of a spa town, like Harrogate, but we have the sea.
Provide support and assistance to incoming needy families so that quality of town is maintained. Otherwise coastal towns tend to deteriorate.
Put an environmentally friendly tram system in place between North and South bays serving all major attractions, taking cars off the road and improving environment. One way system on marine road or even no cars at all. Reinforcing ideas behind park and ride.
Radically improve signage for bus transport, especially between rail station and bus stops opposite lord roseburys, indicating links to all major attractions.
Spend money on re-vamping filey road sports centre to attract tennis tournaments bringing business into the town and publicity nationally, like Tour de Yorkshire.
Scarborough becomes a blue print for what a seaside town should be.
